2011 Vatican Sheet, Beatification of John Paul II

Only six years after his death, Pope John Paul II was beatified on May 1, 2011--a date that marks the Second Sunday of Easter, which John Paul II called Divine Mercy Sunday. This official Vatican mini-sheet of six stamps celebrates this important event and was produced by Polish artist Marzanna Dabrowska.
