Silver medal, 1699, by Giovanni Hamerani. Obverse: Innocent XII right, wearing cap and stole. Reverse: Madonna and Child, SUB TUUM PRAESIDIUM (Beneath thy protection). Choice XF, nicely toned. An example of this medal, graded choice extremely fine, virtually as struck, was a highlight of Baldwin's sale of the Michael Hall Collection selling for 1,357 Pounds ($2,046.00) (Baldwin's Auction 66, Lot 1209).
