John Paul II Anno XXIV Silver Medal

Official Vatican medal for the day of prayer for world peace in Assisi. Obverse: Bust of the Pope right holding the processional cross. Reverse: ASSISI IVSTITIA AMOR PAX, a stylized oil lamp inside the processional cross, on the right the basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi; above, a dove in flight with an olive branch in its beak. Original case has been improved to accommodate a lucite holder, keeping the medal in perfect condition.
