Deusdedit (615-8) Cast Bronze Medal

Bronze restitution medal of Pope Deusdedit (later Pope Saint Adeodatus I). A sharply aftercast example of a 1500s cast original. An attractive brown, mostly lacquered, finish. Already elderly when elected, having served as a priest for forty years, Deusdedit was the first priest to be made pope since John II (533-5).
