Pius XII (1939-58) Anno XVII Bronze Medal

Official bronze Annual Medal of Pope Pius XII, year XVII, in memory of the coronation of the Virgin Mary. Obverse: bust of pope facing right. Reverse: Pope crowning effigy of the Blessed Virgin Mary in front of the High Altar in St. Peter's Basilica. On October 11, 1954, Pius XII pronounced the feast of the Queenship of Mary in his encyclical Ad Caeli Reginam.
