Pius XI 1927 Urban College 60mm Bronze Medal

1927 bronze medal, 60mm in diameter, commemorating the 300th anniversary of the founding of Urbaniana universities "De Propaganda Fide" (for the dissemination of the faith) in 1627 by Pope Urban VIII. Obverse depicts Pope Pius XI seated, his right hand raised in benediction; Reverse shows a globe of the earth surmounted by a radiant cross, two angels below. Ch.AU condition.
